GRACEDOM TECHNOLOGY AND MEDIA CENTRE
First Phase (Dream Version of Gracedom Technology Centre)

We have acquired a big plot of land in the Central Region of Ghana for the purpose of building a resource centre where we would equip the youth with various aspects of information technology such as. Web developing, data base administration, network support, Television Production, Script Writing, Directing, Lighting and Audio Technologies and Editing Techniques, It would also include a recording studio and hostel facilities for people coming from a distance. Our target is to train Christians; bring the youth from the streets to equip them through training and counseling. The centre also includes ‘Gracedom tv’, a Christian television station that takes Jesus into homes.
4. Toilet for Schools
In 2007, Ghana had 600 secondary schools, 9054 Junior High Schools and 15,410 primary schools. Statistics from Ghana Ministry of Education reported through EMIS (2007) shows that only 58% and 47% of Crèches and Kindergartens respectively have toilet facilities. It also shows that approximately 50% of primary and junior high schools have these facilties. A survey conducted on 86 primary schools revealed that 2 out of every 10 primary schools in an average village in Ghana have no designated place of convenience for its pupils.
Pupils from such schools have to find their own places in nearby bushes when they had to visit the toilet. Some of the schools that we found to have designated toilets also had health and safety issues. These toilets were mainly man holes which has some wooden materials across them. Almost every school has its own record of the number of children falling into these man holes. The toilets also serve as good breeding grounds for various diseases. Children contract diseases partially because there are no toilet papers or cleaning materials and therefore have to use any means to clean themselves up. Some even use pages from their text or exercise books. It is for this course that Gracedom Ministries has embarked on the ‘Schools lavatories and Hygiene Scheme Project’
We are simply building Compost Toilets (Eco-friendly version of Water Closets) for schools that need them most.
The project in each school would usually be made up of three blocks thus boys, girls and teachers. Depending on the number of pupils in a particular school, each block could contain an average of 5 bowls. We will take care of its maintenance and regular supply of cleaning materials.
We believe that together we could make the world a better place for our children: showing the love of God in a basic language.
